Available for new projects

Alexis DelporteFreelance full-stack developer in Lyon · React / TypeScript / NestJS

I help startups, product teams and agencies ship, rebuild and speed up their web applications.

I also build my own products, like Grindrise. I think product, not just code.

Based in Francheville, near Lyon, France. Remote work anywhere in France.

01 · What I offer

Four ways to work together

  • / mvp

    MVP & custom product

From an idea or a mockup to a V1 in production: front end, API, database, auth, payments. On a codebase a team can take over.

  • / rebuild

    Rebuild & performance

Taking over existing code, modernization, migrations, splitting into services, load times. That's what I do at Likewatt: load times cut in half.

  • / agencies

    Agencies

White-label technical subcontracting. I work within your conventions and with your tools.

  • / support

    Ad-hoc technical support

A feature to ship, a code audit, an architecture review. A short engagement with a clear deliverable.

02 · Why work with me

A product mindset, not just an extra pair of hands

  • Load times cut in half at Likewatt

Full-stack developer at Likewatt, a SaaS vendor. Interface redesign, Firebase → MongoDB migration, split into microservices: load times cut in half for more than 2,000 professional users, including teams at TotalEnergies, Crédit Agricole and Eiffage.

    The Likewatt case study

  • I'm building Grindrise, my own product

A mobile fitness tracker built with React Native and NestJS, with an anti-cheat model enforced by the server. Building my own product makes me think about engagement and retention, not just code.

    The Grindrise case study

  • Code a team can take over

End-to-end typed code, tests on sensitive logic, CI, code reviews, documentation. Holder of the French Application Designer-Developer degree (RNCP level 6).

  • Modern stack, AI-assisted tooling

React, Next.js, TypeScript, NestJS, React Native, PostgreSQL, MongoDB. I use AI tools like Claude Code to ship faster, with systematic code review.

  • React
  • Next.js
  • TypeScript
  • NestJS
  • React Native
  • PostgreSQL
  • MongoDB
  • GraphQL
  • Docker

03 · Projects

Three case studies, from context to result

Software in production at Likewatt, a live platform, a mobile app in progress. Each one covers the problem, the technical choices and the result.

  • Sept. 2024 → present

    In progress

    Grindrise

Mobile fitness tracker that turns every workout into RPG progression (classes, XP, levels, unlockable story), backed by an anti-cheat model enforced entirely server-side.

    What it shows

    • Mobile on top of web: React Native and Expo.
    • Robust server logic: anti-cheat enforced by the API, queued jobs with BullMQ and Redis.
    • Product thinking: engagement, consistency, retention.
    • React Native

05 · How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. Scoping

A 30-minute video call: the need, the technical context, the constraints and the deadline.

  2. Written proposal

Scope, deliverables, schedule and price. In writing, so everyone starts from the same baseline.

  3. Development

In your repo or a dedicated one. Pull requests, code reviews, CI. Regular check-ins and written communication: Slack, Notion, tickets.

  4. Delivery

Production release, documentation and handover to your team.

06 · FAQ

Questions I get before we start

  • How much does an MVP cost?

An MVP starts from €6,000, on proposal.

It covers the front end, API, database, authentication and payments. After a first conversation, you get a written proposal with the scope, deliverables, schedule and price.

  • How long does a project take?

An MVP usually ships in 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the scope.

The exact timeline is set in writing in the proposal, with the schedule.

Everything starts with a 30-minute video call about the need, the constraints and the deadline.

  • Do you work with agencies on a white-label basis?

Yes, I do white-label technical subcontracting for agencies.

I work within your conventions and with your tools, on a fixed price or a day rate depending on how you work.

  • Do you work remotely?

Yes, I work remotely anywhere in France, from Francheville, near Lyon.

Regular check-ins and written communication (Slack, Notion, tickets) keep the engagement on track.

  • What stack do you work with?

I work with React, Next.js, TypeScript and NestJS, plus React Native for mobile.

On the data and infrastructure side: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, GraphQL and Docker.

  • Who owns the code?

You do: the rights to the code built for you are transferred to you at the end of the engagement, once the invoice is paid.

Generic building blocks I created before the engagement remain mine, and you can use them freely in your project. Development happens in your repo or a dedicated one, and delivery includes documentation and handover to your team.

Context, stack, deadline: a few lines are enough to get started. The first conversation doesn't commit you to anything.
